Tegna’s WMAZ, the CBS affiliate in Macon, Georgia, has overhauled its logo design — but stays true to its longtime heart icon.
The station has dropped the wide stylized “13” logo design with heart icon between the “1” and “3” with a bolder, slightly narrower typeface.
Of particular note, the upward curve of the lower left of the “3” is carefully crafted to match the left diagonal line in the heart.
The new logo’s “3” reads a bit clearly as the numeral — whereas the old look could be confused for an “8.”
